On May 24, 2024, we completed a 24km walk to raise awareness about period poverty in Kahuho, Kenya. During this walk, many insightful conversations were had about the impact of period poverty on the lives of students in Kahuho.
Our dedicated supporters from Thornbury/Clarksburg joined us in this effort, highlighting the importance of addressing this issue and supporting young girls in their education. Period poverty remains a significant barrier, preventing many girls from attending school and reaching their full potential.
This event not only raised awareness but also brought our community closer together, uniting us in the fight against period poverty. The funds raised from this walk will go directly towards providing essential menstrual products and education to the students in Kahuho.
Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this cause! Your efforts are making a real difference in the lives of these young girls.
Together, we can ensure that no girl misses out on her education because of period poverty. ❤️
Stay tuned for more updates and ways you can get involved!
